TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions are designed to protect the health and well being of cats in our care. These terms are the basis on which we accept cats into the cattery and they constitute an arrangement between Cattery Barn and the cat owner.
PAYMENT TERMS
• Charges are on a per day basis, therefore a full day is charged for both the arrival and departure day. This is to allow time for the full disinfecting of units between stays.
• Payment can be made by EFTPOS, CREDIT CARD or BANK TRANSFER. Full payment is required upon collection of your cat. Accounts for Long term boarders must be settled monthly.
• Statutory holidays incur a $5 surcharge per unit.
• The minimum charge is $35.00 except over the Christmas/New Year Peak Season when it is increased to ten days.
• Long term stays (28 days or more) will receive a 10% discount for the duration of the stay (excludes peak season days).
• Christmas and New Year bookings require a $150 deposit to be paid by 31st of September. The deposit is non-refundable or transferable.
• Peak Season is 15 December to 15 January. No long term discounted rates during Peak Season.
• The reception is closed for drop offs and collections on the following days;
As we struggle to accommodate everyone over this busy period, we prioritize space to our regular customers who have supported us throughout the year. New or occasional customers are welcome to go on our waiting list. Spaces usually start to free up from early January onwards.

BOARDING
• Only cats from the same household may share a unit. Please ensure your cat is transported in a secure and suitable cat carrier.
• In the case of an emergency, we will try to contact you or your listed emergency contact. If no one is contactable we will do what we feel is necessary for the well being of your cat.
• Any cat left in our care for longer than 14 days after the agreed collection day will be considered abandoned. We reserve the right to make alternative arrangements if no contact is made by either the owners or the owners emergency contact.
• In the case of an emergency, we will try to contact you or your listed emergency contact. If no one is contactable we will do what we feel is necessary for the well being of your cat.

MEDICAL
• Bring along your cats current vaccination certificate showing that your cat is adequately vaccinated which normally requires a two yearly booster. If you are unsure of you cats vaccination status please get in touch with your vet clinic.
• Please inform us of any recent or current medical conditions. Any medication must be clearly labeled with cats name, medication type, and dosage.
• We reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of illness such as coughing, sneezing, lethargy, vomiting or diarrhea.
• Such that your cat becomes ill whilst staying with us, we will be guided by the advice of the consulting vet. In the case of illness we will endeavor to contact you however if contact is not possible we will ultimately follow the instructions and treatment advised by the consulting vet. Cattery Barn does not accept liability for veterinary decisions or costs.
• For the cats comfort and well being, we ask that they are treated for parasites (fleas and worms) before arrival. If you forget or we find evidence of parasites we are happy to provide the appropriate treatment a charge of $15 will be added to your account.
• We consider our facility to be of the highest standard and therefor your cat will receive the very best care. Whilst every precaution is taken the proprietors cannot be held responsible for any illness, disease or death which could occur during boarding.
